Why Desk Athletics exists
Most recreational athletes don’t have access to structured strength and conditioning. Training is often inconsistent, generic, or disconnected from the sport itself. At the same time, structured S&C is usually associated with professional environments, making it feel out of reach.
Desk Athletics was built to bring that level of structure into real-life training conditions.
What it is
We provide structured strength and conditioning for recreational athletes who want to perform better and stay durable.
Training is built around:
- the demands of your sport
- your schedule and energy levels
- your training environment and available equipment
The goal is simple: make strength and conditioning useful, consistent, and directly applicable to your performance.
👋 Who’s Behind This
I’m Sylvain, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, sports analyst and performance coach.
I’ve spent my life balancing the will to train hard and a busy day-to, feeling lost trying to choose between premade plans or struggling to find non-generic training guidance. As I was battling injuries and looking for a solid approach to consistent training, I moved away from generic data analysis to specialize in sports performance.

Now, I coach the kind of training I wish I had during those years:
- Science-backed
- Focused on recovery and readiness
- Tailored for busy, motivated people
How I approach training
Training is not random or reactive. It is planned, progressive, and adapted over time. Guidance is a central part to it, especially remotely: feedback, context and adjustments permeate everything else.
What working together looks like
We operate primarily through remote coaching, with hybrid options available in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Depending on your needs, this can include:
- structured training programs
- individualized coaching and guidance
- ongoing adjustments and long-term planning
The focus is always on building something sustainable that fits your reality.
