Serious training for desk-bound lives

Desk Athletics exists for people who take training seriously, even if they don’t compete. It’s built for remote workers, engineers, and professionals who want structure, performance, and long-term results without chasing fitness fads or burning out.

If you’ve ever said: “I want to train like an athlete, but I’ve got a busy job and I sit way too much”, you’re in the right place.

👋 Who’s Behind This

I’m Sylvain — Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the NSCA, former analytics engineer, and founder of Desk Athletics.

Before coaching, I spent years behind a screen as a startup founder and data analyst. I know what desk life does to posture, energy, and mindset.

I also know what it’s like to train hard with no plan, or feeling lost between ten sources of information that contradict each other. As I was looking for a solid, rational approach, I moved away from general analysis to specialize in sports performance.

Now, I coach the kind of training I wish I had during those years:

  • Science-backed
  • Focused on recovery and readiness
  • Tailored for busy, motivated people

Coaching values

Most athletic coaching either assumes you want to compete at elite level or that you don’t care about performance at all. Desk Athletics is for the in-between — the serious recreational athlete. Whether you’re training for BJJ, chasing your kids, or just want your joints to stop aching at your desk, this approach gives you the tools to train for real life function.
